La forêt a longtemps été mon terrain de jeu et demeure la source d’un langage où le végétal devient passeur entre le visible et l’invisible. À partir de mes propres photographies, que j’assemble puis transforme par l’encre et l’embossage, j’explore la manière dont les souvenirs se déplacent, se superposent, s’altèrent et renaissent sous une autre forme. Le paysage devient le support d’une mémoire en mouvement, où le réel se mêle à l’imaginaire. Mes œuvres prennent la forme de poèmes visuels qui invitent à une lecture lente, laissant à chacun la liberté d’y reconnaître ses propres réminiscences.

The forest has long been central to Jérôme Pergolesi’s artistic practice, remaining the wellspring of a visual language in which the vegetal world serves as a conduit between the visible and the unseen. Working from his own photographs, which he layers and transforms through ink and embossing, Pergolesi investigates the ways in which memory shifts, accumulates, dissolves, and re-emerges in new forms. Landscape becomes the site of a living, evolving memory, where the tangible and the imagined converge.
His works unfold as visual poems, inviting a contemplative gaze and an unhurried reading. They offer viewers the freedom to project their own memories and associations, allowing each image to resonate through personal recollection as much as shared experience.

Photographe plasticien, Jérôme Pergolesi est né en Franche Comté en 1973 et vit actuellement à Strasbourg où il se consacre à la création. Après ses études de dessinateur d’exécution en publicité, il a obtenu une licence en communication multimédia. Il a également été formé durant 3 ans dans un centre de créations numériques.
Depuis 10 ans il expose régulièrement ses créations dans les galeries et les salons d’art contemporains. Ses oeuvres sont, aujourd’hui, diffusées et vendues en Europe et aux États-Unis.

Born in Franche-Comté, France, in 1973, Jérôme Pergolesi lives and works in Strasbourg. A professional artist, he collaborates with several galleries across France and regularly exhibits at leading contemporary art fairs and salons. His work is also held in numerous private and public collections internationally.
